THIS IS A HAPPY THOUGHT

This is a Happy Thought is an unapologetically bold and playful series that explores the complexity of joy in its rawest, most unfiltered form. Featuring my cartoon-like characters with minimalist forms, the works capture a rebellious, tongue-in-cheek take on the pursuit of happiness. The series invites viewers to reflect on the duality of happiness—its absurdity, its authenticity, and the fleeting moments that spark genuine joy. Originally showcased in my first solo exhibition at Colette in Paris, titled This is a Happy Thought, the collection strips away unnecessary distractions to spotlight humor and emotion in their purest states. With messages that resonate as both affirmations and provocations, it offers a vibrant, humorous lens through which to celebrate our universal quest for emotional freedom.
